Noah Gregory is a boy. He is multicultural, a combination of love created by people from different worlds, yet quite the same. His heart is pure, and people can't help but be drawn to him. He is also violent, attacking anyone and anything without warning. He is 10 but has the mind of a 5-year-old child. If you didn't know him, you wouldn't be convinced that he would be safe to be around. He has Down Syndrome and Autism. But while he is like millions of other kids who were born (or inflicted) with his disabilities, his is the existence that could change anyone he can encounter with just a simple "Hi". "The Book of Noah" is a journal of the first 10 years of Noah Gregory, a child born with Down Syndrome before later developing (or given) Autism. His story told by his father, with contributions from an online blog written by his mother, the book attempts to give an inside picture of how a child born with permanent disadvantages every day turns them into gifts to share with the world. Flipping back and forth between crucial events in his life, the reader sees Noah in the raw, getting to know him as he makes his way through his life with many a smile, as well as frustrations that he can't quite figure out (yet) how to solve. With a lot of humor and brutal honesty, the book wants to reach and teach the reader, giving a voice to other parents who understand the struggle and the joys of raising a child with conditions like Down Syndrome, Autism as well as other conditions that others may not have to face.
